I did three more "squares" but I don't know if I can go on like this. Even though these are not the tiny 1x1 squares that everyone else is doing, I thought, hey, how long could a 2x3 shape take. I'll make my own grid with lots of different shapes and it'll be no problem. It's a problem and I now see the wisdom of 1x1 if you're doing one everyday! No way can I keep this up everyday so I did three for today to give me a buffer. :) I know I don't have to have it done in 39 days but I'm still going to pretend like I do or else it'll be next March and it'll be in some UFO pile so I'm staying the course for now.
I did two new large-ish "squares" and one long narrow one. I do love that each new square is a new beginning... learn a new stitch, think up a new design, use different embellishments. I did a similar project in a Lisa Kaus class I took at Art and Soul using mixed media and I just copied the grid I made for that class for my sampler. Below are my two new squares, the sampler as it looks now, and my Mixed Media piece.
